Alexandra Burke spoke of her excitement at attending the BRITs and how proud she is to be a part of the British music scene. The stunning singer said: “I was that girl who used to sit at her TV and go “Mum, one day I want to attend those BRITs,” and it’s just amazing to be a part of it all. “In terms of music I think the BRITs are ruling the universe and it makes me proud to be a Brit. Speaking of her X Factor win back in 2008, Alexandra said: “The X Factor changed my life drastically. It’s been four years since I won the show and that time has gone so fast.” Keen to offer advice to 2011 winners Little Mix, who also attended the event, she added: “For Little Mix the challenge they face is you’ve just got to make sure you enjoy yourself and make great music that you’ll love to perform in 50 years time.” Judging by the grin on their faces at the bash, the ‘Little muffins’ appear to be having a ball. Perrie said “we’re doing something we absolutely love,” while bandmate Jade was a little distracted by the presence of Labrinth, who she “loves.”
